The class of Insecta of which any insects are member is largest class of animal kingdom. Insects live in overall the earth except the deep ocean. It means that the habitats of a number of insect species are nearby human living area. A number of insect species live in our living area, and some of them become the pest for us. But many insects are beneficial for us. Therefore, we need to know about them to live with them.
Research Theme
Major research topics
1)Juvenile hormone production: Juvenile hormones are insect specific hormones. It regulates metamorphosis, diapause, reproduction, caste determination and other various physiological events. Juvenile hormones synthesis ways are target of insecticides.
2)Molecular mechanisms of Pupal commitement.
3) Molecular mechanisms of cell death at pupal metamorphosis.
