Message
Aomori is the most vegetable production area in Tohoku region. Chinese yams and garlics are famous as the Aomori-brand vegetables. Japanese radishes, carrots and tomatoes are also widely produced in Aomori. In addition, there are some traditional vegetable crops such as ‘Hirosaki-zairai’ red pepper and ‘Nukazuka’ cucumber, and also many edible wild plants. Recently, vegetable production in cold winter has been popular for the purpose of improving profitability of Aomori farmers. We have so many research subject and/or problems to be solved. Why don’t you join us and do research contributing to revitalization of Aomori region

1) Effects of storage under snow lay in winter on the quality of carrots, such as contents and flavor
